Sheba's Story

I will never forget when Sheba was a puppy and met Maggie for the first time... Maggie looked at Sheba and said "aren't you a funny girl?" and she was spot on in her description of my atypical Chow Chow. Sheba is a very quirky girl. She is also very friendly and like all chows, independent.

Our initial session with Maggie was about addressing Sheba's refusal to walk at times and also to start working on getting Sheba to come on command. Of course, the afternoon was spent with Sheba obeying Maggie and not so much myself or my husband, lol. But we did come away from that day with Maggie having trained us to be able to continue to work with Sheba. And we did and were rewarded as long as we followed Maggie's guidance.

This is the brilliance of what Maggie does - she is able to help the human help the animal and in the end, both parties are happy. Maggie also came to Sheba's rescue during a very traumatic time in her young life - a move out of NYC into a rural setting several months ago really destabilized Sheba. Seeing how distraught Sheba was, I didn't hesitate to reach out to Maggie for guidance and help, which was generously given pronto.

Maggie's expertise and love have made it possible for Sheba to acclimate to her new life in a positive way. Maggie is an exceptional human being who respects animals and is dedicated to their well being. I learned this when I originally met Maggie many years ago when I had a behavior issue with my previous dog. I have no doubt that dogs (or any animal) in Maggie's care is in good hands - I can also say without hesitation that we humans are also in really capable hands - in fact, we are even luckier than our dogs when Maggie is involved - YAY and LOVE to MAggie and Joyful Pet Training!!
